About Sophie
Sophie brings writing, media relations, social media and project management skills to LPA clients across health care, energy and environmental issue areas.
Since joining LPA in 2021, Sophie has supported LPA’s work on the state’s COVID-19 and water conservation public awareness campaigns. She also works with clients who are leading California’s transition to cleaner energy sources.
Previously, Sophie interned in the office of Sacramento City Councilmember Eric Guerra where she supported coalition building among community stakeholders and organizations for a local ordinance campaign. She has also interned with Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Lt. Governor Eleni Kounalakis and Senate President pro Tempore Toni G. Atkins.
Born and raised in Sacramento, Sophie graduated from San Diego State University with double majors in Political Science and Urban Studies and double minors in Interdisciplinary Studies and Public Law. In her free time, she enjoys exploring northern California with her corgis and continuing her education of everyday issues – whether that be the latest TikTok trend or breaking news story.
