About Julia

Julia Bayless provides strategic communications and public affairs campaign support for Lucas Public Affairs clients across a variety of industries including energy, technology and education.

Before joining LPA, Julia worked in the California State Assembly where she staffed energy, technology, agriculture and emergency management issues for Assemblymember Jordan Cunningham. She previously worked as the California Cybersecurity Institute’s Public Relations Campaign Manager, developing communications plans and facilitating public and governmental outreach. Earlier, Julia served as both a campaign and legislative intern for Assemblymember Jordan Cunningham.

A graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Julia majored in Political Science with a concentration in American Politics. She also earned her Master’s in Political Communication from Johns Hopkins University, with a focus on privacy and technology.

Outside of the office, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and attending workout classes in Midtown Sacramento.
