Jacob provides communications counsel and support to various clients to advance their organizational goals, including issue and crisis management, media relations and communications campaigns.
Before joining LPA in 2023, Jacob held various leadership roles at the National Football League (NFL). Most recently, he was central in the development and implementation of the NFL’s comprehensive COVID-19 testing and contact tracing programs and communications, encompassing 32 teams and associated personnel, allowing for uninterrupted play and competition through adverse conditions. In 2013, Jacob was one of four individuals named to staff the League’s first-ever Player Health and Safety department, where he managed the execution of the Play Smart, Play Safe initiative, a multifaceted communications campaign to drive progress in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of head injuries and further improve the way the game is taught and played. Jacob joined the NFL’s Management Council in 2017, where he served as a key member of the NFL’s 2020 Collective Bargaining team.
Jacob is a graduate of the University of California, Davis. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys traveling, supporting his favorite sports teams and spending time outdoors in the California sunshine with his wife and pug.
