As Sacramento prepares to host the 2023 Homeless World Cup, LPA President Cassandra Pye hopes three things happen: the event is a source of pride for the community, the region spends time talking about solutions to homelessness and Sacramento pays it forward to the next host city.

Serving as the chair of Street Soccer USA Sacramento provided Cassandra the opportunity to help advance the organization’s mission of “fighting poverty and strengthening communities through soccer.”
