SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Lucas Public Affairs (LPA), a leading California public affairs firm, has promoted three team members – Matt Mahon to Vice President, Daisy Castellón to Director and Taylor Buck to Account Coordinator.

Matt Mahon joined LPA in 2018, bringing over a decade of experience in political communications, media relations and crisis management in both the Legislature and the private sector. As Vice President, Matt will continue to drive the strategic direction of key clients in some of the firm’s most complex issue areas including land use, energy and economic development. He also provides high level counsel and guidance on LPA’s operations and business development.

Daisy Castellón has served in various capacities since joining LPA in June 2017 after previously working at Imprenta Communications Group. As Director, Daisy will oversee client initiatives in higher education, biotech, health care and technology, providing valuable insight and strategic counsel as clients navigate California’s evolving political landscape. She joins senior leaders of the firm as a member of LPA’s Executive Team.

LPA hired Taylor Buck as an Apprentice in January 2020 and she quickly became a valued member of the team. As an Account Coordinator, Taylor will provide media, writing, research and design support for clients across several industries, including energy, biotech and education. Before joining the firm, Taylor worked for PRO Youth and Families, launching and facilitating the Sacramento Area Council of Governments’ Youth Leadership Academy.
