SACRAMENTO, Calif. — One of the state’s leading strategic communication firms, Lucas Public Affairs (LPA), expanded its team to now offer in-house creative services and added new talent as part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to deliver success to clients in these unprecedented times.
The firm launched LPA Design with the recent addition of seasoned designer Thea Kaiser as Creative Services Specialist. The promotions of Ally Sperbeck as Office Manager and Eric Saldivar as Account Executive further expands the firm’s capacity for maintaining and enhancing client services through the current public health crisis and beyond. Additionally, the hiring of Denise Reis and Grace Becker as Executive Assistants will strengthen and support LPA client teams.
“LPA recognizes the significant challenges facing our communities, nation and world, and we remain committed to delivering for clients and improving the lives of all Californians as we emerge from them together,”said Donna Lucas, LPA President and CEO.
The promotions and hires became effective before local and statewide shelter in place measures were implemented.
Thea Kaiser is LPA’s first Creative Services Specialist assisting the firm’s clients with their design and creative strategy needs. Before joining LPA, Thea served businesses and nonprofits in the Sacramento region, applying creative strategy to visual design in both digital and traditional media. Most recently, she worked as the Senior Designer at Comstock’s Business Magazine, leading creative direction and coordinating design projects. Formerly, she worked for the UC Davis Center for Design in the Public Interest and Vantage Point Media.
Prior to her promotion as Office Manager, Ally Sperbeck provided day-to-day administrative support at Lucas Public Affairs and served as Executive Assistant to President and CEO Donna Lucas for nearly two years. Before joining LPA, Ally handled administrative responsibilities and scheduling at a Sacramento medical practice. She previously worked for the Academic Counseling Department at California State University, Chico, where she assisted students with class registration, scheduling and fulfilling graduation requirements.
Account Executive Eric Saldivar provides media, writing, planning and research support for Lucas Public Affairs clients across several industries and policy areas, including energy, finance, biotechnology and higher education. After graduating from UC Davis in 2018, Eric interned with California Professional Firefighters before joining LPA as an apprentice.
Executive Assistant Denise Reis graduated from Sacramento State with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice in 2019 and worked as an associate for the Dewey Square Group after earning her degree. Denise provides administrative and scheduling support to President and CEO Donna Lucas, along with assistance on client accounts.
Executive Assistant Grace Becker offers daily administrative and client support for Lucas Public Affairs and serves as an assistant to Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Cassandra Walker Pye.
