Lucas Public Affairs has announced the promotion of two team members, Patrick K. Dorsey to Director and Jacob Greenstein to Account Supervisor.

“We’re fortunate to have so many up-and-coming leaders at LPA,” CEO Donna Lucas said. “Patrick and Jacob are innovative problem solvers committed to helping our clients achieve success while supporting the professional growth of all team members at LPA.”

Patrick has been a member of Team LPA since 2019, bringing significant expertise in media relations, crisis communications and strategic planning to some of the state’s most complex policy areas, including energy, broadband, public health and education.

Drawing on years of experience, including a stint in the Newsom Administration as interim press secretary for California’s COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force, Patrick will continue contributing to the strategic direction of the firm as a member of the Management Team and a leader and mentor to staff.

Jacob joined LPA in 2022, leading accounts across a variety of issue areas including public safety, aging, energy and finance. In addition to client work, Jacob works closely with executive staff to integrate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging principles across all areas of work and leads LPA-University, an internal initiative focused on staff development and education. Jacob previously handled communications for the California Medical Association and has significant agency, campaign and legislative experience.

“The dynamic bench of thoughtful and strategic public affairs practitioners makes LPA an extraordinary firm filled with a diverse array of experiences and perspectives,” President Cassandra Pye said. “We celebrate many things at LPA, and Patrick and Jacob’s talent is certainly among them.”
