Lucas Public Affairs is proud to join CalChamber and other California employers in signing the Equal Pay Pledge, a commitment to address the gender-related pay gap for California workers.
“Signing the Equal Pay Pledge underscores our commitment to gender equality and fairness, and we encourage other California employers to consider joining us in this mission,” CEO and Founder Donna Lucas said. “Not only is it the right thing to do, but studies show that diverse and equitable workplaces are overall better places to do business.”
The Equal Pay Pledge is a partnership among the Office of the First Partner, the California Commission on the Status of Women and Girls and the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency. The pledge represents a commitment by those businesses who sign on to conduct annual company-wide gender pay analyses, review hiring and promotion processes, and promote best practices that will close the gender pay gap. Research shows that companies that embrace equity and strong DEIB practices are not only better places to work but also see stronger performance outcomes.
LPA President Cassandra Pye highlighted the firm’s focus on equity among its diverse staff and noted that as a women-owned and led business, prioritizing equity is central to the culture. “Building a workplace that truly values equity and belonging empowers our team to thrive, and our work shows it,” she added.
