About Josh
Josh contributes writing, social media and partnership outreach skills to LPA clients in a variety of policy areas including green energy transitions, higher education, aging equity, and technology equity.
Since joining LPA in 2021, Josh has supported the effort to reform the state financial aid program, Cal Grant, as well as efforts to expand broadband access to low-income and disadvantaged communities. He also works with energy clients to support efforts to expand clean energy for a climate-conscious future.
Prior to joining Team LPA, Josh worked for the California Research Bureau and Berkeley City Councilmember Rigel Robinson on policy analysis and effective policy communication. Josh also served as a higher education advocate, chairing the systemwide UC Student Association and advancing student priorities in higher education.
Raised in rural Northern California, Josh graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy. Josh lives hiking, kayaking, and camping in the Sierra Nevada mountains and is passionate about engaging young people in state politics.
