Thea Kaiser | Creative Strategist
Thea Kaiser brings to Lucas Public Affairs a range of experience in applying creative strategy to visual design in both digital and physical media.
Before joining LPA, Thea served small businesses and nonprofits in the Sacramento region, providing design and strategy services including creative direction, web and digital interface design, graphic design for a variety of media, brand strategy and identity, and digital marketing strategy. Formerly, she worked as a senior designer for Comstock’s Magazine, an award-winning local business monthly.
Thea currently chairs the Event Committee for Design Sacramento, a nonprofit that connects and engages Sacramento’s creative community through workshops, lectures and similar programs. She is a Class XI Fellow of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program, a selective 10-month professional development program designed to prepare its Fellows for effective and ethical leadership in their companies and communities.
At UC Davis, from which she graduated with a degree in design, Thea also studied various aspects of business, including business law, organizational management, accounting and micro/macro economics. In addition, she worked at the UC Davis Center for Design in the Public Interest, researching visual communications as they relate to pain management and opioid addiction. Earlier, she worked as assistant to the artist services manager at the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Performing Arts Center, where, among other responsibilities, she served as liaison for performers such as Itzhak Perlman, Jane Lynch, Kate Flannery and Yo-Yo Ma.
