Jessyca Sheehan| Senior Vice President
Jessyca Sheehan has extensive experience partnering with state, national and global companies and organizations on strategic communication and public affairs campaigns. Specializing in corporate communications, message development, issues management and crisis communications, she counsels Lucas Public Affairs clients in a variety of industries, including energy, technology and transportation.
Jessyca provides strategic guidance to LPA clients on some of the most pressing issues of the day, including the development of microgrids, energy storage and zero-emission vehicles to advance the state’s energy future. Jessyca is also a sought-after speaker in the Sacramento community, leading public speaking and message training seminars and providing professional coaching for Fortune 500 companies and senior executives. She serves as a valued member of the firm’s executive team and is an experienced mentor for the staff.
Before joining LPA, Jessyca was vice president of a Bay Area-based public affairs agency where she oversaw strategic communications and engagement programs for high-profile statewide initiatives in the energy and utilities sector. Previously, she was a director at the Sacramento office of APCO Worldwide where she led the firm’s North America Energy and Clean Tech practice. Earlier, she worked at the California Chamber of Commerce supporting public affairs activities, and at a statewide nonprofit organization.
Jessyca serves on the board of the California Women in Energy and is a member of the Sacramento regional leadership team for the Association of Women in Water, Energy and the Environment. She is also actively involved with Capitol Network. In 2011, Sacramento Magazine named Jessyca one of “12 Women to Watch.”
Jessyca has a BA in English and French from the University of California, Los Angeles. Following her graduation, she taught English at a high school in the southwest of France. She is an avid runner with more than a dozen half marathons under her belt.
