Daisy Castellón provides strategic communications, media relations and social media counsel to Lucas Public Affairs clients in industries such as public health, technology and higher education. She has been instrumental in leading LPA’s mission-driven and civic work ranging from broadband access to homelessness and housing issues.

During her time at LPA, Daisy has led high-profile campaigns, including managing the first-ever Governor’s Task Force on Alzheimer’s, where she oversaw the development of a comprehensive policy roadmap for how the state can lead the fight for families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. Through her work, Daisy has demonstrated the ability to assess complex policy issues, identify key audiences and create compelling messaging that resonates with diverse communities throughout the state.

Before joining LPA, Daisy worked at Imprenta Communications focusing on outreach to multicultural and bilingual populations. She played an integral role in leading the California Endowment’s Northern California Building Health Communities Initiative, a $1 billion campaign to advance statewide policy, change the narrative and transform communities with high rates of health inequities into places where all people and neighborhoods thrive. Daisy provided digital, social and media training for grantees and partners. She previously interned in the California State Assembly, conducting legislative research, managing monthly newsletters and creating social media content.

Daisy is an active member of the Sacramento Latino Giving Circle, a network of leaders who are paying it forward by funding Latino-led grassroots organizations. She formerly served on the Sacramento Public Relations Association board as the student liaison, where she provided professional development guidance to local college students.

Daisy is fluent in Spanish and earned a bachelor’s degree in government–journalism from California State University, Sacramento. In her spare time, you can find Daisy taking a kickboxing class, cooking, creating music playlists and spending time with her family.
