SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Lucas Public Affairs (LPA) co-hosted a virtual “Open House” with the LAGRANT Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of public relations, marketing and advertising, on Friday, June 5. Account Supervisor Daisy Castellon moderated the Zoom event, where over 40 participants from across the nation received a warm welcome from President & CEO Donna Lucas. Executive Vice President Cassandra Pye shared an inspiring message on the importance of elevating diverse voices in the Capitol community, and Vice President Jessyca Sheehan led a behind-the scenes look at LPA. A dynamite panel of Team LPA members—Thea, Natalie, Connor, Xavier and Eric— discussed their client work and career journeys and fielded questions from the group.
“LPA was honored to partner with The LAGRANT Foundation to provide this opportunity to students during this challenging time,” said Patrick Dorsey, LPA Senior Account Executive who helped coordinate the event with Executive Assistant Denise Reis. “Spotlighting a variety of career paths and demonstrating how to make meaningful change in California is important to cultivating the next generation of diverse public affairs practitioners.
