Lucas Public Affairs Appoints New Senior Vice President, Hires Account Supervisor

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Lucas Public Affairs, a leading California public affairs firm, has promoted Justin Knighten to senior vice president and hired Kelsey Caldwell as an account supervisor.

Justin was a founding member of LPA a decade ago, and his ability to strategically frame and approach complex issues in California’s fast-paced policy arena makes him a pillar of the LPA team. He is active in the community through work with groups like the Harvey Milk Foundation and World Economic Forum Global Shapers, and he will continue to drive the strategic direction of key clients in some of the firm’s most complex issue areas while also providing counsel as a member of LPA’s executive team.

Kelsey brings over eight years of communications experience across a range of issue areas including mental health, domestic violence and early childhood development. Before joining LPA, she managed public relations activities for numerous clients at Ogilvy, including two campaigns for the California Community Colleges to promote financial aid and career education programs, Covered California Health Benefit Exchange, Integrated Healthcare Association, Planned Parenthood Affiliates of Northern California and First 5 Los Angeles.

In her role as account supervisor, Kelsey provides strategic and creative team management, guiding and directing account teams toward on-time and on-strategy completion of program deliverables and commitments.
