Lucas Public Affairs Announces Additional Promotions, New Office Manager

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Lucas Public Affairs (LPA), a leading California public affairs firm, has hired Paris Richardson as office manager and promoted three team members – Natalie Haskell and Connor Jang to account executive roles and Xavier Roque to account coordinator.

“We are pleased to welcome Paris and to announce these key staff promotions,” said Donna Lucas, the firm’s CEO and president. “One of our core strengths as a firm is growing a strong pipeline of talent that can deliver the strategic counsel and support our clients need and expect from an agency partner. Natalie, Connor and Xavier are a true testament to the success of this approach – all started their LPA careers as interns.”

Paris Richardson brings a professional business management background – including operations and project management, and policy and procedure development – to her role as office manager. Before joining LPA, she worked as firm manager for BBC Public Affairs, where she managed a legislative team and served as treasurer for the CA Low Carbon Fuel and Energy Coalition. Richardson previously worked for Southern California Edison as a senior legislative administrative professional.

Natalie Haskell has served in various capacities since joining LPA in June 2017, most recently as account coordinator. In her new account executive role, she is providing project management, strategic writing, research and media relations support to clients across California’s top issue areas. Haskell has been instrumental in pushing client initiatives forward and supporting positive policy changes in California.

Connor Jang offers strategic support through media, research and writing for a number of clients across industries and policy areas including health care, homelessness and housing, biotechnology and energy. He has been with the firm since June 2017. Before joining LPA, Jang was co-editor-in-chief of the student newspaper at UC Santa Cruz, where he earned his bachelor’s degree.

LPA hired Xavier Roque as a summer intern in 2018; he had been working as an apprentice until his promotion. As an account coordinator, Roque provides media, research, writing and social media support for LPA clients in several industries, including education, tourism, health care, housing and homelessness.
